Why Open MRI?

Why Choose Us?

Here at Medford Open MRI we understand that the circumstances requiring an MRI scan can be very scary, stressful, or even painful for our patients. We're here to make the MRI scan itself as easy and comfortable as possible.

Medford Open MRI has been offering OPEN MRI scans since its conception in 2002. We believe in getting you the scan you need in the most non-confining environment possible.

If there's something we can do to make your scan more comfortable please let us know. We'll even sit with you during your scan if necessary! We welcome your questions and concerns. Please feel free to call ahead, visit our offices, and meet our staff in advance of your MRI scan. We want you to be as comfortable and confident as possible when you choose Medford Open MRI.

Are You Claustrophobic?

So many people are claustrophobic, and it's nothing to be sorry about. Some people are just born that way, and many people have traumatic events throughout their lives making them less and less tolerant of having an exam that makes them feel confined. MRI physics dictates a lot about the design of an MRI Scanner but the Hitachi Oasis Open MRI system is the strongest True Open scanner in the world. That means you can't get a better scan in a more open environment then we offer here at Medford Open MRI. It's what we would prefer for ourselves and it's what we offer to you!

The Oasis

The revolutionary Oasis MRI scanner

Medford Open MRI offers the strongest Open MRI system available and the only one in the state of Oregon. The OASIS is a true open MRI and offers a 270 degree unobstructed view for our patients which means our patients can always see out - all around, all the time - instead of staring at the inside of a tube.

We chose the Hitachi OASIS open MRI system because of its open architecture and strength. Patient satisfaction from a truly open MRI is obviously important to us, but to choose a magnet simply because it is 'open' would be a disservice if the magnet could not perform to the highest industry standards. The Hitachi OASIS offers the best of both worlds!!! The OASIS 1.2 Tesla high-field open magnet gives us the image quality for the diagnostic confidence expected by our radiologists and needed by our physician.
